Breakfast of Champions
Each year, CHAMP hosts the Breakfast of Champions to celebrate the character, leadership, and achievements of outstanding coaches and student-athletes. The event also provides scholarships to graduating seniors and features a guest speaker who shares how character in athletics has shaped their life and success.
More than an awards ceremony, the Breakfast of Champions is an opportunity to inspire athletes, coaches, parents, and community leaders while recognizing the positive impact of sports.

The 18th Annual Breakfast of Champions was a tremendous success. Held in the Hall of
Champions at Canvas Stadium, the event blended cherished traditions with exciting
new moments as Football Coach Jim Mora delivered the keynote address and longtime
Colorado media personality Susie Wargin served as emcee. Honorees included Mike
Calhoon, recipient of the Keli McGregor Servant Leadership Award; Brian Bedard,
recipient of the Sonny Lubick Coach of Character Award; and Terri Keyworth, recipient
of the Dave King Challenger Award.
In addition, the Heart of a Champion Senior Scholarship was awarded to four outstanding student-athletes as they prepare for bright
futures ahead. This special community event continues to be a meaningful opportunity
to celebrate local standouts and mark the close of another outstanding academic year.
